Mt. Rushmore

Between 1927 and 1941, four of the most famous President's in history were carved into the side of Mt. Rushmore. Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln, all four bigger than life, are carved in granite. One of the most spectacular creations in the United States, Mt. Rushmore stands as a tribute to patriotism and the men who structured early America. With a new look on the amphitheater and History Museum, the national forest service has made a great environment to learn about Mt. Rushmore, the men behind the construction, and answers to why it was never completed.

Reptile Gardens

Housed under a magnificent sky dome are some of the world's most colorful birds, beautiful orchids, sparkling minerals, and of course, the largest collection of reptiles found in the United States. You can see live displays of snakes, lizards, giant tortoises, and crocodiles. Reptile gardens also has daily shows which include the Alligator and Crocodile show, Birds of Prey show, Snake show, and Bewitched Village.

Crazy Horse Monument
Crazy Horse Monument is a new project in the Black Hills in remembrance of Chief Crazy Horse. When completed, Crazy Horse Monument will be the world's largest mountain carving. The carving of the Sioux Indian leader is under construction at present.
